Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Standards
- Remain abreast and increase understanding of project management best practices, mainly as they apply to PV.
- Work to improve project management procedures, processes, tools, and systems.
2. Project Management position encompasses:
- Taking responsibility from project hand-off from sales through installation, including Site Survey, Design & Engineering, Interconnection application and approval, Permitting, Installation & Commissioning, Rebates, Inspection
- Developing processes and standard practices required to meet the company goal of installing most projects in under 60 – 75 days from contract signed, depending on the utility company
- Overseeing and communicating schedules for SAVKAT team
- Provide exceptional customer service for our customers and installation partners and inform the SAVKAT team on how to deliver stellar customer service effectively.
- Updating and tracking project information in our CRM and Projects app
- Developing and managing a detailed project schedule and workflow for all major project milestones to maintain consistency of timelines and results
- Maintain schedule and budget until project completion
- Provide high-level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members
- Develop and maintain project financial projections and inventory projections
- Provide accounting with project estimates to allocate into the financial system
- This role will maximize efficiency in implementing detailed project plans with installers, keeping track of goals, tasks, resources, schedules, costs, and contingencies.
3. Management, Analysis & Reporting
- Ensure all operations are carried out in an appropriate, cost-effective way
- Improve project management systems, processes, and best practices
- Purchase materials, plan inventory, and oversee warehouse efficiency with cost efficiency in mind
- Find ways to increase the quality of customer service
4. Communication of Results
- Foster positive interpersonal relationships among all those internally who work in and deal with the project management office so as to improve organizational communications and efficiency.
