The Solar Roofing Electrical Apprentice will work on solar installations and service calls to understand our systems, troubleshoot, and repair equipment as needed.

This position will be responsible for assisting in the Installation of rooftop and ground mounted solar projects per plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the installation of rooftop and ground mounted solar projects per plans
• Strong focus on customer service
• Timely completion of paperwork, photos, as-builts
• Upholds OSHA regulations
• You will be a guest at our customer’s home and are expected to act accordingly
• Identify safety hazards, proper orientation, module layout, solar access, and structural integrity
• Examine designs to determine current requirements; Identify and resolve any deficiencies in system installation or materials
• Maintain thorough documentation of system installation including photographs, location diagrams for arrays and equipment, and existing site features
• Maintain a neat and orderly job site
• Other duties as they are assigned

Required

• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s license
• Must be available early mornings and afternoons
• Comfortably able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on roof tops in varying hot and cold temperatures
• Must have regular, reliable attendance record
• Must have reliable transportation to office
